Redeploy
- Pending — Instance record created, deployment job queued
- Provisioning — Infrastructure resources being deployed

- Error — Deployment failed (can be re-deployed)
- Destroying — Resources being cleaned up
Status changes are pushed to your dashboard in real time via WebSocket.
Instance access
Each instance is accessible at:
https://{subdomain}.storage.danubedata.ro
Admin credentials
- Username:
admin(or custom, set at creation) - Password: Auto-generated, viewable in the DanubeData dashboard
You can reveal the admin password from the instance detail page by clicking the eye icon next to the password field.
WebDAV endpoint
Connect desktop sync clients or mount as a network drive:
https://{subdomain}.storage.danubedata.ro/remote.php/dav/files/admin/
Subdomain management
Each instance gets a primary subdomain at creation. You can add additional subdomains up to your plan's limit.
Adding a subdomain
- Navigate to your instance detail page
- Scroll to the Subdomains section
- Enter the new subdomain name (e.g.,
my-files) - Click Add
The subdomain will be provisioned as {name}.storage.danubedata.ro with its own TLS certificate. The Nextcloud trusted domains configuration is updated automatically.
Removing a subdomain
Click the trash icon next to any additional subdomain. The primary subdomain cannot be removed.
Limits by plan
| Plan | Total subdomains (including primary) |
|---|---|
| Sulina (DD1) | 3 |
| Sf. Gheorghe (DD5) | 7 |
| Chilia (DD10) | 10 |
Mobile app connection
Connect the official Nextcloud mobile app (iOS or Android) with a single QR code scan.
Setup steps
- Open your instance detail page in the DanubeData dashboard
- Click Actions > Connect mobile app
- A QR code will be generated
- Open the Nextcloud mobile app on your phone
- On the login screen, tap the QR code scan button
- Scan the QR code displayed in the dashboard
The mobile app will connect automatically. No manual credential entry required.
How it works
The QR code contains a nc://login/ URL with a dedicated app password created specifically for the mobile device. Each scan generates a new app password, so you can connect multiple devices independently.
Supported apps
- Nextcloud Files (iOS)
- Nextcloud Files (Android)
- Nextcloud Talk (for chat/video features, if enabled)
Re-deploying an instance
If an instance enters the Error state during deployment, you can re-deploy it:
- Navigate to the instance detail page
- Click the Re-deploy button in the error banner or the Actions menu
Re-deploying preserves the instance configuration (name, subdomain, plan, credentials) and attempts a fresh deployment.
Deleting an instance
Deleting an instance permanently removes all data, including files, database, and configuration.
- Navigate to the instance detail page
- Click Actions > Delete instance
- Type the instance name to confirm
- Click Delete
Billing for the instance stops immediately upon deletion.
Billing
- Billing is hourly (recorded every 5 minutes at 0.0833 hours)
- Monthly invoices are generated on the 1st of each month
- Billing for each instance starts at creation and stops at deletion
- To change plans, create a new instance on the desired plan and migrate your data (see the FAQ below)
Limits
- Maximum instances per team — 2 (default; contact support to increase)
- Maximum storage — Determined by plan (1 TB / 5 TB / 10 TB)
- Maximum subdomains — Determined by plan (3 / 7 / 10)
- Maximum connections — Determined by plan (50 / 100 / 200)
Datacenter
All Storage Share instances are deployed in FSN1 (Falkenstein, Germany):
- GDPR-compliant EU data residency
- Tier III+ datacenter
- Redundant power and network
FAQ
Can I upgrade my plan?
Plan changes are not available through the dashboard. To move to a larger plan, create a new instance on the desired plan and migrate your data using the Nextcloud admin panel or WebDAV.
Can I use my own domain?
Custom domains are not currently supported. All instances use the *.storage.danubedata.ro domain.
How do I reset the admin password?
The admin password is set at creation and cannot be changed through the DanubeData dashboard. You can change it through the Nextcloud admin panel at Settings > Security.
Can I install Nextcloud apps?
Yes. You have full admin access and can install any Nextcloud app from the built-in app store.
Is my data backed up?
Storage Share uses S3-backed object storage with erasure coding for hardware-level durability. For additional protection, you can export data at any time using the Nextcloud desktop client or WebDAV sync.
How many users can I create?
There is no hard limit on Nextcloud user accounts. The Max Connections limit refers to concurrent connections to the instance.
Can I access Nextcloud via WebDAV?
Yes. Use the WebDAV endpoint with your Nextcloud credentials:
https://{subdomain}.storage.danubedata.ro/remote.php/dav/files/{username}/
